I hunt primarily with a bow but I do like to hunt with a gun on occasion.   Lots of old memories of rifle hunting in the north woods of MI.

Love the smell of Powder from my Long Gun.  

by the end of bow season i am ready to try use the gun. my luck, if i brought the bow i would see the biggest buck of my life at 50 yds and would get a chance at him.  :(   if i am going to get up in the morning and hike to the top of the mountain, i want to give myself the best chance at harvesting whatever it is that im hunting.
i titally respect everyone that brings their bows during gun season. but i doubt i will , at least for a very long while.
