ALLWAYS have my longknife on my belt, skinner in my pack, wear a neck knife for easy reach and many times carry a big bowie. i like knives.  :readit:
I go by many names but Daddy is my favorite!
listen to everyone,FOLLOW NO ONE!!

don't know why I carry any knife--rarely see a deer, never get a shot.

I carry a Schrade folder or a Normark fixed blade and a pocket knife.

From my gun hunting, I know I could field dress a deer with any sharp pocket knife, but I'd get dirtier doing it!

1. Gerber LST in my pocket - for cleaning small game and whatever.

2. USMC combat knife on my belt - for dealing with unruly sasquatches and because I can.

3. Gerber hunting knife on belt or somewhere - in case I ever kill another deer.

4. Leatherman in my pack - for sawing through annoying limbs, gripping things, general mayhem.

I think that's about it.

On Me...
Queen Skinner:a gift from my father 25 years ago- carrying it the 1st time this year.
Necker:self made from a circ saw blade-amazing what you learn on the TG "hunting knives/crafters" page.
Swiss Army:to get the jerky out of my teeth.
In Back Pack...
Cleaver: yep. Why-not sure yet- never read a sasquatch reported in the desert.
Case XX: (another gift from dad)
Buck 110: I figure I have the unique 1,000,002nd knife made.
Western: an iddybiddy knife I carry since it doesn't weigh anything and a last resort if the others give out while I'm skinning, if I see a deer, if I get a shot, if I connect, if I have the strength to retrieve it...  :D

I carry three folding knives on me at all times and add a custom huntimg knife when I'm actually hunting.

I just don't understand why some people feel they need to split the brisket or the pelvis on their deer when they field dress them. This only opens the body cavity to allow dirt and stuff to get inside during transporting. For field dressing a nice folder or a small sheath knife is all you need. For building blinds or camping yes you may need something bigger. Brokenwing

Case or Old Timer pocket knife and a homemade huntimg knife made from deer antler and a fertelizer spreader bearing race.

Being a knifemaker, I ALWAYS have a knife with me. (accept when I fly) But when I go on a hunt, I usually carry a leatherman super tool, then pocket knife, and sheath knife, either made by myself or one of my knifemaking friends.
