May be in this area for 5-7 days  in the middle of november. Have not heard much about deer hunting in Minn. Does this area have good deer numbers? public land? any info would be helpful.
Thanks alot

SW Wisconsin definately has some good deer numbers.  Public land is harder to come by.  I think there is a fairly large tract of it just north of LaFarge where the federal government abandoned a dam project long ago. I think the land has reverted back partly to tribal land and partly to public hunting.  Haven't ever hunted it myself, but worth checking out.  Other public lands are generally smaller and heavily hunted.  Another area to check on might be the river bottoms along the Mississippi or Wisconsin.  SW WI is hilly unglaciated land and in my opinion is the prettiest area of our State.

Don't know about MN, but I believe there are good deer numbers there as well.

I hunted near Black River Falls,WI several years back on public land.  We hunted the Jackson County forest not far from Black River Falls.  If I remember right, it is about 64,000 acres.  Not many other hunters either.  Saw quite a few deer and mangaged to take a small 8 point.

Don't know about Wisconsin but there are not any deer left in se MN. Just kidding. Check out Whitewater, lots of public land and would also check out areas around Houston. Depending on when you get here there might be a gun season going on.

According to DNR info, SE MN has some of the highest deer density in the State.
Chances are you'll be amongst rifle hunters but no need to let that stop you though.

Btw, if you find any good SW WI public land, please share. Seems to me it's mostly pay to play "guided" hunts..

Be prepared to do some hiking in the Whitewater. It is in bluff country and you may have to climb some hills to get away from the crowds. Beautiful area, make sure to stop into Mauer Brothers Bar & Grill in Elba, MN. and have a couple spicy pickled eggs.
PM me if you want some more info on the Whitewater. Not sure how much pressure there is down there in November as I've only just started hunting there myself this spring.

It always amazes me how helpful everyone is on this site. i really appreciate the info. sounds like Wisconsin is tougher to find a place to hunt with out paying....I'll keep looking and will definately let you know if I find something worthwhile....The whitewater area Looks huge on the map, looks/ sounds promising.
