I stumbled on a website selling several models of these horse bows. They advertise that most are capable of a very long draw and that their speed is higher than most recurves as well.  Most seem very short which makes me think long draws would have alot of finger pinch.

Anyone have experience with these types of bows?

Thanks,
Jethro

Jethro,

The shorter bows are shot using a thumbring draw, which would not give finger pinch. The thumbring draw also allows one to draw further than a normal Meditteranian(sp) draw, or three under draw.

Check out the Korean Traditional Archery site, or Spitfire Horsebows site for a tutorial on using the thumbring.
