Got "lucky" the opening weekend of the Oklahoma archery season.  Had a big doe walk right under my stand.  Not five minutes later another doe came by on the same trail.  Not usually getting more than an opportunity or two a season, I decided to shoot that deer as well.

My trail camera is set up in the spot where the two does were shot.  This is the picture of me looking @ the blood from the second doe.  Not the arrow sticking up in the ground that went straight through her.

Now....  After checking the trail camera (after I got the two does out of the woods), I noticed a picture of this big boy!  Note that he is standing in the exact place where the second doe was that I shot.  Wish I had waited, but still it's hard to pass up slam dunk shots on does early in the season.  I have until Jan 15th to hold out for this big dude.

Wow!!! Congrats on the does.  That buck is a BRUISER    I've been having trouble sleeping at night trying to dream up ways to get the eight point on my cam to impale himself on one of my arrows.  If I knew that monster was around me, I might never sleep.  Good luck

Tim,

Good work on those does. Did you shoot them in the Newalla area? That is a nice looking buck, similar to some of the Oklahoma deer I have shot in the past and hope to get again this year. This is a beautiful day here in Oklahoma, and I guess the weekend promises more of the same. Enjoy the hunting, as you seem to be already!
