I like cedar and spruce because they have very similar charictaristics (sp?)

can you add some hardwood options to your list?
ash,hickory,maple,fir,others?

I am surprised at the percentage of real wood shaft shooters. I thought carbon would have been a larger percentage...like 50% wood, 35% carbon, and 15% aluminum. But what do I know...nothing obviously! lol
Isaiah 49:2...he made me a polished arrow and concealed me in his quiver.

Benny Nganabbarru

I prefer Douglas fir out of my current bow.

I agree, the number of woodie shooters seemed high; but I am glad to be in such good company!

Great poll.. POC is my favorite shaft choice.. Because I can always get it and the smell is "perfect".. I am going to switch shafts when I need to build some heavier wood arrows.

the traditional in "tradgang" sure does show up here! The bows may vary alot (other than no training wheels) but the arrows definitly show tradition.
ps-i have ash shafts i'm building

Steve H.

I bet most of the non-woodies just didn't take the poll.  Not enuf choices on wood types and what I prefer (Cedar) is not what I currently use (Spruce).

For a poll to be meaningful they have to ask questions worded very carefully.

Broken Arrow 1

I like Laminated Birch because of the weight.
Its not the size of the animal you hunt that matters. Its how you hunt the animal.

stump man

wouldn't let me submit.  Surewood Doug fir wasn't an option.

Carbon and aluminum smell funny when I break them...
