Lots of people are talking about and shooting the Morrison ILF. Tell us your thoughts. What you like about them and what you don't. Show us some photos if you have them.

I was over at Bob's house the other day.  While I have always been a pretty wood bow kind of guy, and phenolic and carbon/foam don't do alot for me. I have to say that after seeing, holding, drawing a few of his ILF bows....I just might have to order one.  BTW somehow he makes phenolic risers and carbon/foam limbs beautiful

Do they allow for some variation in draw weight with the same riser and limbs? If so, how much?

I have the Mini 14 ILF riser with the "C" Dakota longbow limbs (a 56 inch bow) and draw the bow smoothly to 29 1/2 inches. The bow allows 5 pounds of weight adjustment. I have the phenolic riser with a half pinecone carving and also have the plain black foam core/carbon backed limbs. The bow looks like a stealth fighter and fires arrows very fast. It is surprisingly pretty. I also have a number of Morrison exotic wood risers and limbs, including some new foam core/carbon backed Shawnee Dakota limbs with beautiful Maccasser veneers. Wow, those are really beautiful. I would never have believed I would like the ILF bow like I do, but Bob finally talked me into trying one, and now I will never go back. In my mind it is his best bow ever, and I love my Cheyennes and Shawnees. What bows does Bob shoot himself when he can have any kind he wants? A 56 inch Mini 14 ILF with Dakota "C" limbs and a 54 inch Mini 14 ILF with recurve limbs, if that tells you anything.

I just got mine back from H2O Imaging, had it done in fall Predator deception.  I have the Mini 14 all phenolic riser and short Sabastien Flute foam glass limbs, makes a 54" recurve. I think it's close to 45@28" but have not checked yet, that would be with the bolts tight you can back them out about 5 turns and drop about 5 lb. This little bow is fun to shoot and my only complaint is it seems a little loud, but to be fair I have been shooting a long bow that is vary quiet not a good comparison and I still need to do some tuning. The bow is fast and I don't feel any hand shock at all , will post some pic's soon !

RLA- Bob recommends using rubber cat whiskers on all his bows. I had a Cheyenne that I thought was loud and after installing those it was dead quiet. Now I have a Shawnee with foam cores and it don't need ANY string silencers. Never tried the ILF although Bob has tried to convince me.

Allan convinced me and I now have a Morrison ILF on order. Black phenolic mini-14 riser with Win Win foam core, carbon back recurve limbs making a 56" bow. I also have on order a set of foam core, carbon backed Dakota limbs which I will have to wait about 4 months to get made. Bob told me the Win Win recurve limbs are quiet, fast, smooth, and an exceptional value. Best of all, he can get them overnight. I'll let you know in a few weeks, but from what Bob and Allan are telling me, two weeks cannot come fast enough!

I thought The ILF recurve before the new limbs were available was the best recurve I ever shot. The new limbs only make them better. I had a solid phenolic riser on order with full pine cones but a reversal of fortune made it impossible for me to go through with the deal. The riser has since sold to someone else I guess and yes indeed with the black glass, carbon foam limbs they do bring to mind a stealth fighter. I already had a name picked out for the bow. M'Bowgo a take off on the Swahili name for a cape buffalo "M'bogo" which means "Black Death."
A Morrison ILF is the only high dollar bow I feel is totally worth the price.

I have one it`s sweet, it makes tuning arrows a breeze cuz you can tweak the poundage to suit the arrow if its close. It`s very fast an was really loud with out whiskers i was a bit worry about the noise, so i put 1 set whisker on it an it`s as quite as any of my other bows i own. A real dream to shoot even at 60lbs it`s the smoothest bow i have. It smokes 620gr arrows with foam/carbon  limbs

I have the ILF with the long riser and long Inno limbs about 61" total- its fast and smooth. It has about 5 lbs of weight adjustment.

Its fun to shoot and I'm thinking I may leave my compound at home and see if I can draw blood with it in Kansas.....

RLA you lay that bow on the ground with a little snow on the forest floor while you dress out a critter you took with it and you'll have a devil of a time finding it again.

Both have Morrison glass/foam recurve limbs.  Very smooth, quick, and quiet.  Also have a set of Samick Extremes.  They seem to be a bit louder, maybe due to the carbon.

I really like the weight and preload adjustment these limbs offer, as well as the tremendous craftsmanship of Bob Morrison.

I got it done by H2o Imaging. The riser and Limbs cost $130.  For riser only $75 & limbs only $75.  They offer many nice patters to choose from and it only took 2 weeks.

I have an all black ILF bow with the phenolic riser and the foam/carbon Dakota limbs. I like it the way it looks, but it is the kind of bow that would look good with the camo like RLA has done. I sure don't have anything against the camo dip as long as it is not covering up a beautiful exotic wood bow.
