I can't really find where abandoned search is addressed with regards to P&Y. Can someone shed some light on the subject or share a link? FWIW I don't need the clarification for myself but would like to clarify it for a member on another board so that he is prepared for the outcome.

What does that mean? I have never heard of it before? I am interested to know what it means!!
The man who thinks he can and the man who thinks he can't are both right!!!

Go to the P&Y site and pull up any big game measure "form".. It used to be on the list in reference to the "fair chase" affidavit.

Once you abandon your search, the animal can no longer be classified as a bow kill and it is no longer acceptable into P&Y..
Once you return to hunt under the same license, it is considered that you have abandon the search.

I tried to get a "copy" from the P&Y site... No luck for me.. I know I have a copy in one of my books. If you can't get an answer PM me and I will try to find it for you.

This affadavit just says that you have to provide details about the recovery if it wasn't on the same day of the hit. It's probably subjective. Also, it is suggested that you include field photos.
