Warrior,Are you refering to the Barta pack by Eberlestock? I do not have any experience with the Barta, but I do have the their Halftrack daypack. It seems to be very similar in construction to the Barta with only a few small differences. I am really pleased with the pack, plenty of room for a full day's hunt and extremely comfortable to wear all day. I like the "toploader" feature, the entire compartment is exposed when open completely, giving easy access to my gear. Inside storage has many pockets for knives, flashlight, etc. I even tied a front shoulder from my partners elk on it a couple weeks ago! It handled the extra load nicely. Eberlestock's quality is great, I would not hesitate to recommend them. Dave

Too heavy for my taste.  However, Eberlestock packs are good packs, just heavy.  Starting out with eight pounds and trying to keep to lead for a couple days under 25 pounds is asking too much.
