I was the lucky winner of the bamboo cores from our friend Kenny.  I finished a R/D longbow yesterday made from those laminations.

In addition to the free lams I ordered some Osage and Red Cedar.  Kenny's work is top notch.  The thickness and tapers were exactly to my specifications.  The pieces he used to pack them in can probably be used for veneers.

The bow I made is the third one for me.  It is 66", 48# at 28".  The riser is Cocobolo with red phenolic and Osage acccents.  The limbs are bamboo core and Osage.  I must say that I am falling in love with Osage.  I will be quiet and let you see the photos now.

Kenny, thanks for the bamboo.  You will be selling me more stuff in the future, I can asure you of that.

I want to thank everyone for the compliments.  Making bows sure is satisfying.  My wife is starting to be concerned about my having too many bows around but I want to make more, more, more...

I have a three-piece R/D longbow on the drawing board so stay tuned.

Agree with everyone else! What a WOW bow.
