Haven't been around much, but still shooting and lurking.  
Just wanted to say I got my new bushwacker yesterday.  This one is what I call a 2nd generation bushwacker.  Mike made some changes to the limb design.  The most notable of which is the much smaller tips.  Wow, they are the smallest tips I have ever seen on a bow.

As you would expect the bow is beautiful and made by a master bowyer who loves his art.

Oh, I just saw the lacing coming undone on your quiver, sorry, bad joke.

oh that!!!  yeah that's from my WW.  I used Charlie's sharpening method and when I gently pushed them into the quiver for the first time, the blade cut through the lacing like a hot knife in butter.  That quiver cost me $80.00 or so.  I was NOT a happy camper about that, but only had myself ot blame. *sigh*  At least it's still functional and it's a good reminder to be careful around keenly sharp blades. eh?

Definatly bitter sweet - you know your BH's are ready for the job, but now you have cut lacing.  

How do you like that quiver system with the screw on/off style of takedown, always wanted to try that.

I guess I have mixed feelings about the quiver.  It works well on my bushwackers, but it didn't work well on my Liberty.  On the Liberty it wouldn't stay in place and would slowly slide down the limb.  The other thing that I don't care for is the "bolt" sticks into my sight picture and I find it a tad annoying.  I can get past it and all, but it's just sorta there.  
 On the pro-side, it's really easy to get on and off, which is a bonus if your traveling with your bow or need to ship it some where. Also it's easy to transfer from bow to bow.  STill if I got another bow quiver for a long bow, I'd probably try a boa or great northern.  The ones that have the rubber strap you wrap around with.

One of the things I love about the Dryad bows is that none of it is made with a C&C machine.  These bows are truly handcrafted, and with all natural materials to boot.  There's no fiberglas or carbon in these bows and they shoot just as well just as hard hitting.  Even though they make them the same way, each bow is going to be slightly unique and I believe that each bow will have a slightly different "feel" to it.  In Japanese Shintoism they believe all things in nature have a spirit or "Kami" living in it.  Every leaf, rock, blade of grass,tree, animal, every grain of rice.  They say that if something is expertly made by hand and if one is lucky, a kami will come to reside in the object made.  I like to think this could be true with any dryad bow out there.

Thanks for the kind words on the new design.  Heck we haven't even announced the new design.

We have been meaning to revisit that bow since it first came out but have been so busy making others that it didn't get done.  Finally Jason and I worked an unscheduled weekend and built a new form.  It incorperates a lot of what we did with the Hunter and SoothSayer.  A little less deflex in the handle and quite a bit more reflex in the limb.  Also changed the comp of the limb going to all osage instead of the bamboo core.

Anyway shoot it well and send us hero pics.  LOL

BTW it looks like you have it braced low.  Should be 7 to 7 1/4 inches.
