I bought a copy of TBB 4 at OJAM earlier this year from Wingnut and saw his and yelergnomes bows. I was very impressed to say the least. I read his chapter in the book and set out to make a BBO following his design. Here is the outcome. I lose the r/d profile during tillering but it still came out good. I have hush puppies on the string and honestly this is the quietest bow I have ever shot. It has cocobolo in the handle and power lam and buffalo tip overlays. It's 64.5 NTN and 60 lbs @ 28". It is quick and quiet while dead in the hand. Mike and Jason Westvang have this 'bow whittlin' down to an art! Mine pails in comparison but it has been a fun and rewarding project!

Sorry but blurry

Thank you all! Yes that is our MSA (Munitions Storage Area) at the Tulsa Oklahoma Air Nat'l Guard base.

I'm really enjoying this bow. I'll be taking it into the woods in a few weeks.

Just returned from our annual elk hunt and saw this post.  Nice job!  Do you have a "full draw" pic?

I'll get a full draw pic soon. I just helped my friend glue up his 1st bow and we used this design. The chapter in TBB IV on this bow is what made me give it a try. I bought the book from Wingnut at OJAM this year and I'm really glad I did. I enjoy building a wooden bow much more than the glass takedowns I've done in the past.

Understand that I'm not trying to out do the guys at Dryad. If so I'd have a LONG ways to go. They really have their engineering down to an art and produce a 1st class product. My bow is just "life imitating art".

Full draw pic. I guess the top limb is stiffer mid limb than I like but I had a spot next to a pin knot that worried me on the belly.

It's better if you can get the pic from the other side when canting, but the bottom limb looks great and what I can see of the upper is first class too.

Thanks. I wondered about that. I thought maybe the angle made the top limb look un-finished. It shoots great though. I'm shooting a 35/55 with 150 gr. behind an aluminium insert. If I anchor solid and follow through, they fly like laser guided bombs.

With the hush puppies string silencers it is so quiet! "PLUG PLUG"! LOL!
