had back surgery yesterday ,they took a disc out and grind on another and moved my nerve over'  :(       ,so here i am walking like i have a corn cob up you no what.. bow season opens here in alabama  october 15th ,have to be off work for 2 weeks ,then light duty,doc says in 4 weeks i should be back to normal,gosh i hope so .      

I was wondering why I didn't see the Grey clan at Briarfield last weekend, now I know. Hope they have you straightened out John.

I have had a lot of back problems since I did that half gainer out of a tree stand about 20 years ago and broke my back. If they give you some exercises for rehab, do them like you life depends on them and you will be OK.

i feel for ya bro, i too will soon have to have back surgery,but i keep putting it off,two friends had the surgery and they don't seem any better than before, i hope you have a speedy recovery and feel new again,so you can enjoy hunting and all else in life!! prayers go out to you! jim

pain in my leg is gone    ,that was the worst pain ,now i just have to keep walking so i wont get stiff

yep.  keep walking and stretching. I had 2 herniated discs when I was 17 but I was lucky. At that age I healed up quick.

great, doc says i need back surgery to fix a herniated disc, and work on my spinal cord. I want to hold off till christmas break so i can get a lil hunting and trapping done this year. but i dont know if i can hold on that long. at least that way, i wont be in school for a month giving me time to recover

John ya got till the 15th of October to heal up. If not I'll tote ya on my back to your blind brother and, I'll even drag your deer out for ya  

man i just want to sit in a blind ,if i have to, i will just shoot the deer with my camera.

Two weeks is plenty of time to get them broadheads scary sharp too    When I come over this weekend if ya don't have the sand paper I'll stop and pick up the necessary grits. If you can do nothing till then but use some 120 or 220 to change the angle on those grizzly's it will save us some time. Watch the vid on the KME site and you'll find the sharpener easy to use.

I know your pain,have had back and neck surgery just be sure to listen to the DOC and not be to impatient,better to be a little cautious than have to have more surgery.

John had the same thing thie summer. had 4 disc removed and a tear in my spinal cord fixed. Feel better now than i have in the last 10 years.

Definitely take the time to heal! I didn't and had to have a second operation to fuse three vertebrae. Not fun at all! It took twice as long to heal the second time as it did the first time; 4 months until I was back on light duty, then 2 more before I could go back to full duty.

well hell! i have phnemonia starting in my right lung,been at the hospital for 4 hours ,they said its common when you go under ,because you have that breathing tube down your throat ,started coughing up some gross stuff ,mixed with a little blood ,said oh ---- this isnt good,so they put me on a strong antibotic,for 5 days ,caught it before it got bad    thank god..
