I'm considering making a big (4'x4') homemade shooting bale (because the 4' BigBlock I can't afford).  Any ideas on what I can use that would actually be durable enough for a year or two of use?

Your groups are that big, Tom?
Oh, sorry, I forgot that size doesn't matter.

Feed bags stuffed with plastic work well and are cheap. I bought a Black Hole a couple of years ago, it was about a hunnerd dollars, according to Rainman. It isn't any four feet, but it fits in the bed of the truck. I just try to shoot small.   :p

Woman, how come you give me so much grief?  Just because I once called you an "Indian Princess" don't mean you gotta ride me so hard.  Besides, I know in my heart you'd rather sleep in A/C instead of a tent.   :D

Blame the big target requirement on my wife....or the fact that I'll be shootin' from 75 yards....
