I't appears that Tuttulik outfitters shut down opperations sept.4th leaving many paid clients with no hunt.Bob and I were to leave out friday. We haven't been notified directly of the shutdown but I won't be boarding a plane.I'ts very disapointing and I feel for those hunters that saved for years for this hunt.I certainly hope for reimburstment but I'm not getting any hopes up.

I hunted in those very same camps in '97 and '99. It was a different company then, but still some of the same people running it. There was a similar problem when it switched hands last time. Too bad as there are a lot of big bulls in that area and it sees little to no other pressure. Hopefully you guys get your money back.
No hunter should feel guilty for killing a deer that doesnt meet someone else's expectations.

Is this known for sure (confirmed)? . Is there some type of letter or notice stating this? If so this is BAD NEWS WOW

Lechwe

Many of the hunters received emails stating the season was canceled. Several of the main contacts were terminated by phone and some were terminated by fax. Not good but unless the guide and outfitters association steps up witch is doubtful I'm afraid those pour souls are out of luck.

I am sorry for all involved who are on the short end of this.  Give us a followup story when you can.

That is terrible news.. Please let us know what happened.

Check out the other archery forum and you will hear ll the stories about it.  I am not sure if I can give out another web address on here..   Bad, bad deal for all those involved.  The way many talk, some are out 11- 12 thousand........  with nothing to show for it and are unsure if they will even recoup their money..

Hillboy,

I tried to confirm this and was told they are still in operation , that gordon has been out of town at shows and hard to get in contact with . I e-mailed them .

Jack Shanks

thomas,

Check out the other archery sites for information. I have friends that were supposed to fly out to camp last Thursday and I assume they did as I haven't heard any differently. It sounds like they were among the last group that will be able to hunt.

Thomas,I called there phone number and I got a recording that said gordon and the rest of them were no longer employed by Tuttulik, and as of sept.4th Tuttulick was no longer in opperation.I wish some other positive info would come out such as another outfitter taking it over but I'm not holding my breath.

I feel bad for all who are caught up in this . When I post before I did not know about the" bow site " information. I had contacted  www.worldclassoutdoors.com  And was e-mail telling me that this was not true ?E-Mail signed by Brooke Atkins . Maybe they were not aware of this so I e-Mail them back Telling them of this forum And the other Site also. A friend and myself were to hunt with tuttulik 2009. Again I feel bad for all involed . Regards Thomas
