G'day all,

Well I was looking through some photos on my laptop yesterday and as I am in the planning stages of a week long hunt on the Chital (Axis) deer, I came upon this pic I took some time ago;

Now to rewind back to that day I stalked into this fella after I spotted him bed down. I counted coup on him by snapen this pic of him moments be for I placed an arrow on my recurve and sent one on its way.

Funny thing is, I never spotted the 2nd deer in the pic till yesterday.

My question to you is..... where is he?... Or she?

Good luck,

AK.

Kyodai

I think I see antlers just to the right of the dark tree just to the right of the deer himself.  About a third of the way up, they kinda look like branches, but could be...?

Drew

ditto follow the line over from his ear to the right behind the tree...although off his nose looks like something beyond him?

Great pic though!
Just a Coyote Soul out wandering...

Joseph

I am going to go with the spot about 1 inch to the left of and level with his eye.  Looks like a peice of deer to me.  Joseph

lower right side of the pic and its a doe

Jmatt1957

I belive she is in front of his nose but behind him

bretto

I'm with Joseph, looks like a nose and the deer is looking straight at the camera.

Keefer

O.k. I think you are looking at the second deer and she is standing in front of the Buck itself...The antler looks a little forward on the head that you first see...Standing together to look like one deer...Keefers <")))><

JimB

The only thing I see are possible antlers at the base of the black tree, like Kyodai said.I don't see all those other deer.

Falk

I see one clearly at the left   :D
I have roughly outlined it's grinning figure with some green:

Ithink maybe to the right?   "Im talking about the brown area inside the square" kinda looks like adeers neck to me although that maybe some antler sticking out from behind that tree?

Chris Surtees

I'm with oldpaths. Looks like antlers just to the "right" of the forked tree.

Nice pic Alan

JimB

That's to the RIGHT of the tree. His square looks like it is on the right antler and the left antler out of the box to the left of it.

Ol' Ephraim

3 deer , the main one up front, the one to the right of the forked tree, and the one to the right of Falks out line, the one Joseph was talking about just off the 1st deers nose.
Ok fess up how many blew out of there after you released the arrow.
Rest when I can, I'll sleep when I'm dead.

Jeff Hren-Renegade

looks like a doe in front of the bucks nose. but well back in the brush. looks like a ear & nose. just to the right of the tree looks like a set of antlers sticking up from behind it, they look to be in velvet Yet.
So how many are there?

Al Kidner

Sorry lads for the late reply, I've been out and about and our net here has been on the blink.

Now from my goldfish memory there was a few deer about that morning. But there is two animals in the pic, the bedded stag and the one in velvet to the right near the forky tree.

Al you can see is his knobbie antlers as he's still growing them.

Hope to be back in this spot in a month.

Regards,

AK.
