Ok I'm really freaked out right now, I just made a flemish string for my new Bear Montana Longbow and it looks like the tiller (if that's what it is) is off, I'm certain that the lower limb has less tiller than the top one, just by looking at it you can tell, it's like the bottom limb is shorter than the top, when I set the bow down on the floor it just looks weird like a bad angle or something and it's driving me CRAZY!!  :scared:  .
Is it supposed to be like this? Is this ok?
I'll try to get some pics.

BY HOW MUCH! Normally 1/8 to a 1/4 shorter on the bottom fade.

I don't know the Montana specifically; but it is very common for the lower limb to be shorter than the top-typically 1-2 inches. Yumi bows have a lower limb that is several feet shorter!
As to the tiller-like blueline said,
measured from the string to the deepest part of the limb.

Shoot it.  If it shoots okay then don't worry.  Longbows normally have the lower limb shorter than the upper.

Zach, like said above on standard tiller bows the bottom limb is shorter than the top.  But I do agree with John, shoot it and see how she does.  If you need any help let me know and maybe we can get together sometime this weekend and see what we can figure out.

Thanks guys, it's shooting ok I just need to make some good arrows for it.

Tim, I'm going up north this weekend with my family, but we should shoot sometime soon.
