Finally got my goat tonight. I've been stalking antelope during the evenings and have come close to some bucks. Tonight I was 20 yds from a fair buck about ready to shoot, when a fawn about ran into my lap and scared me and the bucks near by  :scared:  . I knowticed a doe about 300 yds away run into a draw. Made the sneak and a beautiful 25 yd. shot. She was down at 30 yds. Figured I'd better get the season over seeing that elk and deer season starts in a few days. My camera is toast. The mega pixels are blank on about 2/3 of the pic. and the color shows up blue. Wonder if it would be cheaper to buy one or send it in. The camera is only 1.5 years old. Any advice, it is a sony.

Well done! From what I hear, it's an amazing accomplishment to stalk an antelope!

Congrats on gettin your goat. I will be chasing them myself in a few days, and then off to the elk woods. What a great time of year!

THAT is a challenging way to hunt antelope.  Great job!

j yenney

Challenging but fun. I don't have the patience to sit in a blind. The place I was hunting is basically a 200 acre alfalfa field with 3 small draws running thru them. I was glassing and would find that they would spend about 30 minutes in the mid morning early evening cooling down and feeding at the bottom of the draws. It was a perfect opportunity to take advantage of, just a matter of time. Not so sure about how good there hearing is compared to mule deer. The deer are much more alert to Dry crunches compared to the antelope.

Digitals are pretty expensive to fix. With the prices today and improvement in features,I bet you would be further ahead to buy a new one.Congrats on the antelope. They can be tough sometmes.

Get a new one. I dropped mine off an ATV the other day while out getting pictures of local deer. I cant believe it stills works.

Congrats on stalking your goat.

I got a doe from a blind on the 16th. Now have another doe tag near the house. Will try a blind on a large water hole but it may be to much water for me to cover alone. The area has some unique erosion areas that may make a stalk poss. With your success it gives me good reason to try.

Congrats again I have tried stalking and it is tuff.
