I have an older model MH takedown with the big 1/2" ball-bearing alignment and lately it's been making a creaking noise when I first begin the draw. It doesn't do it once I draw it a few times but if it sits "still" for a while it will do it again. I've changed the string and taken it down to check all parts including limbs and alignment ball-bearings and limb bolts and washers. I've even put some light lubication on the balls  but it still does it. I don't want to blow that good shot opening day because of a creaky bow. Any ideas?

Might it be the waxed string pulling away from the limb tips at the draw?  Sometimes the string will make that creaking type of noise.

I thought it was that at first but when I replaced the string I went light on the wax there and also put about 3 inched of moleskin (felt) where the string yolk groove is, so I suspect it's not that.  Do you know if others with takedown bows have experienced this same noise?
