I bought one of the fleece covers and am not sure I want to use it. Looks awkward and rustles the fletching some. Do you guys use these or do you just forget the bright fletching colors and hunt?

I carry one but only use it when it is raining fairly hard. In my mind having the wind in my face and minimizing movement is far more important than my arrow's bright caps and fletching.

They can be a little awkward to use in the beginning until you figure it out.  I find that if I pull the arrow down out of the quiver hood a little then come straight up, it's not much of a problem.

I don't find bright fletching to be a problem with deer or elk and I use red & orange fletch.  I only use mine when it's raining for a long period of time.  I put a breadbag inside to make it a little more waterproof.  I also use a waterproofing on my feathers.

I use baby bottle liners to keep fletching dry. Never had a problem with bright-colored fletching.

I use the bread bag for cover after my sandwich is gone.... Only in the rain and chasing Cats in the snow, but I'll generally fletch up a couple of goose feathered arrows for wet weather hunting as well. Color of fletching dosen't seem to bother the game out here in the West unless your using it to wave at someone.

I carry one in case it really starts to pour but otherwise, I just rely on a big feather and waterproofing. Can't say that the colors (yellow and orange) ever spooked anything.

I use mine on the bow all the time, it does protect the fletching and cuts down on noise for me since the fletch is not brushing against stuff all the time, plus it does keep them more shootable in rain and wet grass/brush.  But, the main reason I use it is I like to shoot all white feathers and wrap and it really bothers me to be walking in the woods with all that white swinging around my legs as I move and not knowing exactly who is watching that white flash around as well. I bowhunt all season and even though I hunt mostly private ground, you never know who is watching you thru their scope!  Mark

Bright fletching WILL catch eyesight so I use a fletch cover, and it also keeps them dry if it rains.

I have to MOVE to get a shot, but I don't need a neon sign hanging off my bows so I use a fletch cover.  Not sure why your feathers are russling in yours, maybe the material or the shape or size or something.  Mine don't ever russle.

If I can get them to look at the feathers, they never  know what hits 'em  :-)

The 3-Rivers covers are unlined fleece on the inside.  Extremely noisy to remove a feathered arrow.  Made for the vane shooters.... That one you (Terry) have with the open bottom is a better mouse-trap.  Was hoping it went back in production. Hint, hint, hint!

Bob....getting one next week, and after I give em the word, they'll be making a bunch of them...of which I'll get another 3 or 4 cause I gave all mine away.

I use one all the time. Easy to make one out of a piece of cammo and some elastic cord. It dosn't hurt anything to have it on. Mine is usually on year round.
