I recently purchased a Big River longbow from a fellow board member and after a couple of days shooting it, it reinforced my belief that for the money, especially when you buy used, there are few bows that are as good a value. This is the third Big River longbow I've owned and all have been just exceptional in terms of speed,  smoothness, stability.

I've been trying to get to where I shoot one bow and more and more I think that one might be a 66" R/D Big River longbow.

I am curious JCJ what the bow spec are and what arrow combination you are using. I have owned two of John's bows in the past -- liked everything about the bow, however could not find the right arrow combination to shoot that I thought provided me the correct arrow flight. I would not mine trying again if I could find the right combination. I live in the same city as the bowyer, Thanks Jerry.

This bow is 53# @ 28". I draw it 31" so at my draw I'm shooting it at around 62#. I shoot cedars that are 31" to BOP. I shoot arrows with either 75-80 spine or 80-85 spine depending upon point weight.
