i am having problems getiing my magnus asharp as i want them or sharp at all for that matter. i am using a araknsas white stone and i can start to get them sharp then they just lose the edge any suggestions

I have Magnus 125 gr heads and I sharpen them with a Lansky sharpening system.  I found that to get them hair popping sharp I also needed the ultra fine stone to finish the job.  

I never used one of these Lansky sharpeners before about 3 weeks ago but if I can get a razor's edge on knifes and broad heads with it I believe anyone can.  

I used the search feature and found a tutorial about using the Lansky and it worked for me.

I like the Accusharp...about 30 strokes/side initially, then finish with ceramic sticks

My limited smarts about this, but a lot of good advice from guys around here makes me think you may be curling the fine edge.  Have you tried stroping in on leather or (even cardboard)at the end of your sharpening process?

I use the KME BH sharpener on DMT dia-sharp hones.  I can get a polished razor sharp edge with that.  You can use emory cloth instead starting out coarse and going with progressively finer grit.

Tru angle hones work well for magnus, zwickey, STOS, etc.

The sharpning systems insure that the same angle is used with each pass.
When doing it with a stone once you get it close ease up on the pressure for the final strokes almost just the weight of the broadhead on the last ones.
