I have one GS Alaskan I get good flight but nock high flight. to get a straight flight my nock is 0 to 1/4 high. Wont that be to low when I add fletch or do I worry about that later? My point of impact is great just looks like the nock is trying to pass the point on the way to the target.

Thanks for the help

I have terrible form and my nock point is 1/2" to 5/8" high..don't be afraid to move it up a little more.

I don't see anything wrong with alittle nock high.I tune my arrows and get them to go straight in and then I move the nock up at a time until I get the sweet spot when fletched.I think this is the way it is when shooting off the shelf. You could get by with a lower nocking point if you are shooting off an elevated rest.

Thanks for the replys.

My normal nock height is 5/8 thats why I was concerned with the bare shaft going down to 1/4 or so.

The way I determine the correct nock point is to shoot a bare shaft from about 10' into a soft target. If the arrow nock is low then the nock point is too low. I  raise it little by little until the arrow is sticking straight into the target. Then I just crimp the nok set there. Fletched arrows will shoot just fine if the bare shaft is straight in the target.
