What do you guys wear during the early season when the temperature and humidity are soaring?  Our season down here opens in October and the temps are usually up there.  In the past I've worn the lightweight vent back shirts (like the fishermen use) and the lightest weight pants I can find.  I still usually have to go through 2 changes of clothes per day (or more) due to the heat.  I'm just trying to see if there is anything I'm missing out on.

You might consider Underarmour cool weather shirts.  I've used one in HI a bit.

Billy

I will second the 'underarmour' type materials.
They work really well when your activity level goes up with the temps.
Someone will say I've lost my mind...but, I've been thinking that light weight wool over the wicking layer should be a good thing.?.?..
I'm thinking wool dress slacks and shirts, type weights.

Drab t-shirts and stuff - also pants.  Mmmm bug spray.

Plenty of anti-persperiant.  Unscented of course.

Is it too late to be what I could have been?

I use one of those mesh bug suits, shorts underneath, when I get cold I get my clothes out of my pack. keeps me cool and my clothes from stinking.

I'm sure the Underarmour clothing is great, but it's a little rich for my blood.  I buy the Walmart running T-shirts made out of a moisture wicking material for about $6 a piece.  I wear a Bug Tamer top and usually a pair of Carhartt work pants, and a cotton boonie.  Keeps me cool and bug free ( I use a Thermacell, too) in our hot and humid weather in the early season.
God is good, all the time!!!

Predator has some warm weather stuff I am looking at. Also Wally World has a leafy bug getup for $50.

Olive drap t-shirt, BDU pants and a good Thermacell. I found the Under Armor to be smelly. It reminded me of how my old football jerseys smelled after a game.

My hunting is mostly in Nevada...We wear light cotton tee's in camo colors and as light weight camo pants as possible. The biggest issue is trying to stay clean.
Because in our heat your just going to sweat!!!
So we use unscented baby wipes every day and try to shower at least every other day. We use a solar shower which works pretty well if left in the sun for a few hours.

Thanks for the ideas.  As for bugs, my Thermacell is packed and ready!

Loin cloth+poison ivy= recipe for disaster!

I've never worn any UnderArmour in my life.  And don't plan to.  It's Polyester.

It's the hottest fabric in the world.  Makes me sweat like a pig!

Swamp Pygmy

The guys on one of these bowhunting texas shows has some great looking camo.

well actually its ugly as hell, and matched to fit texas brush country.

But never the less its so thin you can see through it. It looks really comfortable

It's definitely not scent proof, but i think it will help you stop from sweating to begin with if you pick a shady spot and stay there.

Tall Paul, I know what you're thinking about the Under Armour;  I hate to wear even blended polyester/cotton in the summer.  However, after my sons kept raving about how the UA kept them cool on the football and soccer field, I gave it a try...and it WORKS.  I see you're from OK, which probably means you deal w/ humidity, as do we in Eastern KS.  It actually keeps me COOL.
Now, I have a hard time paying UA prices for what is basically a high-tech T-shirt...but Wally World sells a knock-off for about 25% what the UA runs.  You might give it a try, the stuff really does work...
