Are his takedown recurves nice bows? I have never seen one in person. I know he is a sponsor here but I am looking for unbaised opinions. Thanks.

adeeden

Very good bows in my opinion, in fact it's my go to bow. Dollar for dollar it's a lot of bow for the money.

They are nice bows and they are great to deal with, you get a lot of bang for your buck with a Bob lee.

You have to remember this is the Bob Lee of Wing archery fame and he and his son are superb Bowyers and great people. They live about 30 mins. south of me. Check out his history on their website

I own two Bob Lee's.  Great bow and great people to deal with.  I've been to his shop and was impressed.  I have other bows but I shoot my "Lees" more often than not.  My takedown recure has two sets of limbs at 43# & 50#.  The lighter limbs are great for working on form.  Smooth, no stack and no hand shock pretty much says it all.

You are not going to get any "unbiased" opinions.
With only one exception that I can think of, everyone you ask here will give you a top notch recommendation for Bob Lee bows, myself included.
I have a BL take down that is the best shooting bow that I believe I have ever had.

AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! one of the best!!! and great people you cant go wrong with any bob lee you dont stay in business for as long as bob lee by not doing something right!!!

Add me to the crowd of Bob Lee praisers.  I've not shot a bow that would replace mine as my "go to" bow and I'v owned or shot many of the big name bows.

Finest recurves I`ve shot.I`m wanting one their takedown longbows something awful.RC

they are a bit heavy in the hand, but that helps stabalize them.  Asbel era bighorn is my favorite.

I got two second Hand Bob Lee Recurves. One is two years old, the other is 15 years old. They both are great bows and very smooth drawing (31,5 draw with a 64" bow).
Does anybody here have a lefty BL riser to sell me? (My right shoulder is a pain sometimes)

Does anybody know the physical weight difference between the bows with micarta and without?

I shoot a Bob Lee HUNTER T/D. It's 48#'s @ 28"s and is 62"s in lenght. It has a grey w/black riser and black limbs. Wouldn't trade it for anything. Took 3 does with it last season. All 3 were double lung pass thru's. Going to use the same set up this season as last.

They are great bows!  I shoot a widow recurve but my brother shoots side by side with his lee and they hold up.  I will buy a lee curve soon but I just got a new bob lee stick that I have fallen in love with!
