Morrison or A&H (Adcock)?

As long as your talking about the Cheyenne, my vote would be for the Morrison. As for the longbows, it's a toss up! Good luck with this decision bud!

I tend to like recurves in that case the cheyenne would be my choice. I really want an A&H longbow though.

With all the options available on the Morrison, you could spend more with one of Bob's bows.  They can be real lookers, however, I voted for the A&H since it is the best longbow I have ever shot.

Bob's bows are off the chart and every one of them I have tried was awesome. My experience with Adcock bows is about 50-50 - some incredible, some OK. The only A&H I've shot fell into the first category.

They serve different niches. A&H are specialty bows for getting the most from light draw weight. I don't think that is a concern for you Rob "I like 70+# bows" Tattoo.

That's pretty much the opinion expected to get. I've shot a few of Bob's bows & only one A&H & frankly I couldn't get on with the A&H in the few brief shots I had. I had heard that they are 'grip finnicky' & assumed that I just didn't have enough experience with the bow. I've never shot a Morrison I didn't like & I am leaning (heavily) towards a Shawnee Dakota, rather than risking dissappointment with an ACS.
It's a large chunk of cheese to put down on a bow I may or may not get on with & have no option to really try beforehand.

And it's only selfbows I like really heavy    Mostly I just stick around the mid-60s   :D

Morrison no question.  In fact I bought one earlier this year, a Cheyenne. Hands down the best bow I have ever had my hands on.  I waited a whole 4 days for it to arrive. Bob has a selection of risers and limbs in stock for those like me who do not want to wait.

Looks go to the Cheyenne...but having owned both, I just didn't get along with either of their grips. The ACS-CX was too small in throat of the grip. I do like recurves and have not shot the new riser that A&H has out. The Morrison was better but still not for me. The grip has to work for me or the rest of the bow doesn't matter. They are both great bows...just didn't work for me.

I am in the same boat as you when it comes to the Morrison grip. I have since learned after many purchases through trial and error that the locator grip that Bob has to offer is the only grip that I can get along with. I have fortunately found 1 in my mnay, and i mean many purhcases of Cheyene's and Shawnee's that had the locator style grip. I called Bob about it and he completly agreed that if the locator is the style of grip you need then the others would not work for you. Try a riser from Morrison that has a locator grip and I think you will be pleasantly surprised. I do however prefer the A&H over my Shawnee, it seems to have less handshock and it is a bit quieter. Handshock usually is not a problem but I have since learned of a herniated disc my neck and even the littlest vibration causes discomfort.

I'm like you in that I couoldn't get along with the ACS. Several years ago (I think it was 2000 or 2001) at the Texas State Longbow Championship, I was prepared (cash money in my pocket) to purchase a new longbow. I tried several and it came down to either an ACS or a Massie Longhorn. Both bowyers were there and I talked to both and shot each brand multiple times. I decided on the Massie Longhorn for several reasons (both bow and bowyer)and haven't shot or considered an ACS since. In this case, my vote is for the Morrison. Ya' did good!

What does A with D give you length wise?  

I have contemplated a B riser with D limbs for 64" (similar to your question, the two being so close in design)????

I believe 62" on the 'A' riser

A-Riser with D-limbs is 60" I do believe. Thats the Cheyenne you got from me Rob.

Hey Rob, I know that Bob builds an awesome bow but I wouldn't trust his packaging for an over seas shipment.  Tell you what, get him to send it to me and I'll inspect it and pack it properly for you.        It should only set delivery back about ... well, uh ... a little bit    :D
