Squirells opened up on 8/1 here and with the cool weather we have been having the last few days, I couldn't resist slipping out for awhile this evening. Final score Squirrells 3 Adeeden 1. Yep even managed to lose 2 arrows but made my third shot for the day perfect! 10 yards or so and hit him right wnere his head and neck come together off a small limb maybe 10 feet up a hickory tree. Here's a not so good picture. The old bear 2 blade with the front 1/2 inch or so cut off did a number on him!

Anybody else chasing Mr. Bushytail lately?

Good shooting Dennis. I hope you shared dinner with your buddy Ed Pitchkites. Thanks for introducing me to him. I have enjoyed his corespondence.I haven't got up enough confidence yet to take my new carbon arrows out yet and shoot them up into the unknown after squirrels. Finally got under 100 degrees around KC, may have to give it a try, just shooting at the ones on the ground.

bushytail

Nice shot! They`re a lot of fun to hunt for.Sometimes i`ll go hunting for squirrel 1st,and if a deer comes along, thats all the better. Those arrows you find on the 3-D courses can be made into tree-top shootin arrows. If you lose them ,you didn`t loose much.

Good shooting. Our season opens on the 23rd. I can't wait. I really enjoy trying to get as close as I can before I take the shot. Still hunting through the woods can be both relaxing and fun at the same time. Deer hunting is beginning to take a back seat to squirrels for me.
