Just wondering if anyone has shot a Rinehart 100?  If you have was it with traditional equipment?  Did they have stakes for traditional shooters or did everyone have to shoot from the same stake?  I don't feel like taking 25-35 yard average shoots all day...one or two is okay.

Just wondering since it's going to be in Saginaw, MI this weekend and we're going to be there anyway (what an excuse to see the in-laws).

Also if there is anyone going that wants to shoot with another traditional guy I'd meet ya there.  I hope to shoot all 100 over two days if I go.

Thanks,

Josh

I just shot my first one a couple weeks ago - I will DEFINATELY be back.  I shot mine with the compound, mostly becuase I didn't feel confident in my ability to take 25-35yrd shots with my recurve consistantly.

At the one I was at they did have separate trad stakes (ours were yellow) and on average they were roughly 3-10 yards closer, depending on the targets.  Some were right with the compound stakes.  We let a group of trad guys play through our group, as they only a two.

Bring a full quiver, an arrow rake, some buddies, and have fun!

Next time around I'm hoping to take my recurve.

It's a blast!

i had a great time. wasnt to many trad guys at the one i was at me and about 8 others.
they had some great targets.
most werent to far 15-25yds
the african range, it seemed that they were a little further. but i think cause the animals were so big . i would definantly go back.
my avatar pic was from the shoot one of the "BIG" animals  :)

Yellow Dog

Josh, I'm in Saginaw and I'm a member of the Field and Stream Club where the shoot is being held. If you would like to shoot with someone PM me. I'd be more than happy to fling some arrows with you.

I shot one in Wyoming.. It was a hoot.. As I recall we had seperate stakes.. We shot the whole hunert and it was a day... Scores are listed on the Rhinehart site afterwards.  Three of us shot Trad together..
Damn Nice guy

Its better for the target life if everyone is hitting the replacable core center. I found the wheelies having a really easy and fun time with the ranges. Have know fear, grip and rip its only foam now.

I'm going to one in Sept. here in Ohio. It will be my first time at this shoot. I've heard it's alot of fun.

Its a real good shoot, the stakes at the shoot in ronda nc were about 10 to 20 yards just make sure you shoot the apple on the deers nose its worth 24 points.(I did and looked on as them fancy wheelie boys looked like turkeys hunting acorns when they missed)HAHAHA!!!

I just shot my first one last weekend in Wabash IN. I only shot the African course and it was a blast. There are two stakes and one is for trad shooters. What are some of the scores you guys got? I ended up with a 414.

My boys and I went last year when it was in Georgia.    Very few Trad guys and really windy so it was tough to score well.  We shot it for fun and ignored the stakes if we thought it was too far! (Obviously didn't submit scores!) Some really neat targets.  Below is a picture of
the lifesize giraffe target. They had a step ladder to retrieve arrows from the kill zone.
Definitely worth going just for the novelty of it.

I`m glad there are so dummys sticking arrows in  the giraffe head (a waste of arrows I thought we had all the trill seaking rednecks up here but I guess there everwhere HAHAHA!!!) btw I shot a 475 on the afc. side.

Looks like it would be a blast...I shot a 3-D course last year that almost made me give up traditional shooting.  Practiced all spring and summer and shot horrible in September.

I've shot 3-D shoots the last two weekends and I'm starting to have fun again.

Chad and Yellow Dog...I'm going to be there when it opens on Saturday...we can all just meet.  PM me if you still want to go.  Would be great to shoot with the both of ya.

Boomer, I'm not far away ..Ft Wayne...anyway, I heard that Steve Hartley (Voodoofire1) won the trad portion with one of his elk riser bows.  I know he camped out there with his daughter.  Did you happen to run into him?  He told me he had a great time. Sounds like you did as well.

I have to say, Bass'n'bucks sure has great land to hold a shoot.
Unless you're the lead dog, the scenery never changes....

Did you have to register in advance?  Or could you show up the day of and shoot?
