Before I pull all my hair out is there a trick to getting BHds to spin proper when mounting them on adapters? I kept a bareshaft handy to spin them, if not good I would heat-tweek till they were good. Now on a fletched shaft they seem to have a slight - slight wobble.

Doing grizzlies, and WWs. Please help a brother out for him go insane.

No real trick that I can think of. I always mount the broadhead on the adapter screwed into the arrow it will be shot on. Sometimes your arrows insert will be shifted off center a hair. A head may spin true on one arrow, but not on another.

You can align the blades to your liking when mounting it to the arrow it will be shot on. I prefer my blades to be vertical (on a 2 blade head), so I can get em positioned just the way I want.

Once I am done, the head stays with that arrow for life. If I take it off for some reason, I start the process all over again.

I like using the 5 minute epoxy to the heat glue. The epxoy gives you plenty of working time to get everything alligned. I also put it in the arrow it going to be shot on.

I made a jig with two V blocks about 14 inches apart.  I put this witha  newly attached Bhead against a box with a dot at teh true point.  then the boradhead is slowly rotated witha  finger-you'll see every deviation and can just push on the broadhead to get it to spin true
Sometimes you have to remove the insert on carbons to spin it around to even out the glue.

Like the idea of keeping them on the same arrow. Will do that, Thanks. I tried the 5 minute epoxy and jacked up three heads! WWs, got them right then I guess whe I laid them down they moved as the epoxy hadn't cured.

Know why I used to stick with manufactured heads! I am getting them down now just taking time. Got to order some WWs, and finish my grizzlies.

Still unsure which I will shoot this year. see how they fly tonight.

If you've sharpened them at all (or dubbed the points) you may have moved the tip off center and they'll show a wobble even though they're straight.

Otherwise, let the epoxy get tacky before you fit everything together; be careful not to let them move, and use a carbon arrow for spin testing so at least you know you're arrow's true.

i use epoxy, but to align them i hold out my palm, put the arrow with b/head in a vertical position on it and give it a spin.(like you would a top) you will feel a vibration on anything except a perfectly aligned b/head. works for me everytime.
