Don, I talked to Dad today and the riser is made of Cocobolo and Zebrawood with Ebony accent stripes. Limbs are Actionboo centercore with veneers of high figured curly myrtle. Glad you like it and good luck with it.

Thanks.....Chris,

See guys....I'm so danged happy that I can't even remember what the woods are.  :knothead:

I talked to your Dad earlier today and he told me again what the woods were, sometimes things just don't soak in. I hope to have him build me another one or two in the future.

That is an awesome bow...the looks are amazing and really gets me excited.

I have a bow on order that is going to have a Cocobolo riser with Curly Myrtle limbs over bamboo cores.  I'm all fired up now that I've seen what it will look like when it's complete.  WOW!!!

Amazing...

Thanks....Mike.

I got out last evening and shot until my home-made tie-on nocking point unwound. The bow shoots VERY well....much better than the person doing the shooting. I was only shooting from 20 yards but I think my first dozen arrows were all in the kill zone.

The dang mosquito's were eating me up and I just couldn't take it any longer. I should get the arrows that I ordered for it today, and I'm going over to a friends and have him tie me on a movable nocking point and I hope to finish settling the string in this evening. I will post back later and perhaps even take a few pictures to post.

I believe that I am going to be VERY happy with this bow, and plan on making my FIRST traditional harvest with it, this fall. I'm really anxious to shoot these 1916's, I was shooting 2016's last evening and wasn't doing to bad. We'll see and I will post more later.

I normally dont go for bows with contrasting risers but that one would definately be an exception for me. Awesome looking bow.
