Hi all,
new here, and new to making my own arrows. Decision to make on which arrow fletching jig to buy, Bitzenberger or BPE pro. Please dont bother telling me about others because these are the two I've narrowed down. Plan to use 5.5" right helical (modified height) but may change this in the future.

about me...I wanted to loose my training wheels and bought a used howatt hunter to try. took some getting used to but now i'm hooked. walked into my local shop and looked at the longbows on the wall and found a JIM PLOEN 21st century edge carbon longbow 70" long for sale. SOLD says I. WOW is all i can say.Feels lighter than the HH but is 6 lbs more and super, super smooth. got my super glove-very nice, FISA armguard-highly recommended, and a Jack's traditional archery Chief side quiver.
Look out Bowinkle!!

i think everyone likes the bitz better if i could afford one thats what i would have

Blackhawk

I bought the BPE a few years ago because it was half the price of Bitz, but I have not been sorry.  I have a couple buddies with the BPE as well and they love theirs too.

Many consider the Bitz the best and I'm sure it's praises are not hyped.  Either should serve you well.

BTW, Jack Bowers is a friend of mine and makes quality quivers.  Good choice on the Chief!

I've owned/used both for several years.  I prefer the Bitz by a good margin.

Don't know anything about the BPE, but I love my Bitz.  Look on the infamous auction site, you might find a deal......

Can only speak of the bitz   .  Have been using the same one for over 20 yrs. and still does the job.  Bought 2 more this year.  Money well spent.

I have both and the bpe works great for 3 fletch but when i tried the 4 fletch it was inconsistent on the fletch pattern. Blitz. works great for all.

Love my BPE.  I four fletch 60x120 with it and it works great.

As you can see, either will work for you.  My experience with the BPE is limited, but I have and use several Bitz jigs and like them a lot.  The BPE is probably more adjustable for nock indexing, but after that, the Bitz is much nicer to work with.  JMHO

My Opinion: BITZ! You can Pass it on Down and it will work like New!!

I have two BPE's that I bought in the early 90's. After several hundred arrows each through them (lots of squirrel arrows), they still work great.

The only Bitz I have was my grandfathers, so it's probably 50 years old or better. I don't have much experience with the newer ones, so I really can't compare them to the BPE jigs.

i had to go with the bitz, as I used to live across the street from them

i was told by a sales person, when purchasing an out-of-date newpaper that it was out-of-date...

i told her "i've been told i'm out-of-date, too"...

does that mean i'm up-to-date?
