bamboo backed hickory longbow

I ordered a bamboo backed hickory long bow that I have to finish myself and was wondering if anyone else had and if so is this bow going to be huntable?It is 40-45lbs @ 27"any feedback would be greatly appreciated thanks

Depends on what your hunting. Should be fine for small game, turkeys, and whitetails with a razor sharp two blade head and a heavy enough arrow.

40 lbs here in MA,Id like to hunt deer with it and would be using a 125 magnus with a 150 carbon express shaft.I machined some inserts out of brass instead of th aluminum that came with them.My arrow weighs @ 615 grns
