Acetone and a rag.

Acetone and 0000 steel wool.

From Personel experiance that not raelly a good idea,unless you have a sure way of knowing what size they are.
But if you want to go ahead, denatured alcohol will gently remove the band but wont harm the coating between it and the carbon.
