STIKNSTRINGBOW

We already look bad!!  :smileystooges:   considering our area averages around 5% sucsess   :campfire:  . but I am done with elk for now, I was wandering around on the tree farm next door today and found some bear s*%t I think I will put my camera there to see if it comes back.It was full of corn with some apple seeds and blackberry. I also got some scouting to do local for late season.

I haven't decided yet, I got more bows than I can shoot, but because of the tree stand thing probably one of my 52' Kodiak magnums 60# @ 28" with either compressed cedar or microfites, I got Bear razorheads on microflites and Grizzly on cedar, same story though, it all depends on what feels right when I start packing for trip, I will warm up shooting stumps while I look for turkeys in March, and (hopefully) get drawn for spring bear here in Washington.

10# test should be fine unless you hook into a large Pike.Maybe a few steel leaders just incase.

Self reliance cannot be bought

Curveman

Yes. Not too expensive though. If you tag out early you will likely want to do some fishing.

Well I came to a decition...there will be no Que'bec bear hunting with a spear for me.Sorry about that Doc hope you did not forge up the spear-head as yet. Here's the deal.Yesterday I left my shop door open to enjoy the fresh air.The old dude next door was cutting some ivy off our fences..Well this friggen rat runs out of the ivy and guess where he heads? Yap right into the bowdocs paint booth.I make a run at the little SOB and he darts under a pile of bow boxes. The worst part of the whole thing is our cat is out peddeling her butt up and down the street and not doing what I pay her for..Keeping rats out of my paint booth. So's I got me a walking stick,I added a nail to the end and use it for picking up trash out of the ditch in front of our place works great.OK so 20 minutes passes and I'am getting ready to head for home depot and get me a rat trap, maybe two of them. One for the rat and one for our cat for not being around. But the rat shows himself in front of the stack of boxes.OK back to spearing a bear.Ai'nt gonna happen. It took me 4 tries to finally hit this damn rat.So I figured if it takes ya 4 tries with a spear at a bear you may end up getting yourself injured...so I'am out for the spear hunting of bears Doc,but thanks just the same for the offer...bowdoc .
