I've seen guys put yarn on the top of their bow strings to quieten down the noise. You know, where the string touches the the limbs of their recurves?  How do you install yarn onto the string?  Thanks
Blessings,
Steve

Tie the yarn to one side of the string loop(the lower end where you start twisting the ends together)with a single half-hitch leaveing about a 1" tag end.Lay the tag end against the doubled section and wind the yarn over the tag end and continue down the string untill you get below the doubled section.Insert the end of the yarn between the string bundles and cut leaving about a 1" tag end.String your bow and shoot it a few times, then trim the tag end close to the string.

Hope this helps.....

Or just order some Bowhush from the Sponsors list. Great product with instructions.

There can be a huge difference depending on the type of yarn used.

Bowhush is great. Works like a charm. Easy to install.

I just posted a tutorial of how I do it.

I agree with Charlie, the type of yarn that Bowhush uses works the best, and holds up.
