OK, I received my new limbs today, but the "opening" on the limbs will not fit around the limb bolt. Can I do a little, and I mean a little, sanding on the openings to get them to fit and not affect the limb performance/safety/alinement? Thank you.

Obviously something has to give, and the question is what.  It is easy to replace the ILF fittings on limbs, so my first choice would be to take a little off the outside of those fittings.  Then if you sold the limbs, you could just buy new fittings.  I don't know how easy or possible it would be to find new ILF fittings for a riser, but if you're not worried about that, you could enlarge the opening slightly without affecting the performance of the bow. I would never want the ILF fitting to be sloppy, but you can adjust minor misalignment with the lateral limb adjustment screws.

I ran across a similar situation where the geometry of the ILF fitting on the riser would not accommodate the length of the pin sticking out of the ILF fitting on the limb.  The pin would not retract when I wanted to mount the limbs on the riser.  So I just took the pin out of the limb fitting and ground it down a little, until it would retract and slide into the ILF fitting on the riser.

Wooden dowel and sandpaper will work just fine.

A fine chain saw file will work well too. just be sure and seal it with a clear toe nail polish or other sealer if it's wood.

Had the same problem with a set of Uukha limbs. It's the thickness of the finish. A bit of light sanding and all was well.
Old doesn't start until you hit three figures...and then it's negotiable
