For those who own or have owned a Brackenbury Legend  recurve bow, could you possible post a photo showing it fully strung? Also, what wood or combination of woods did you choose for the riser and limbs? Thanks in advance.

With all the people on Bill Howland's list at his website, nobody has ordered a Legend Bow?

Basically, almost all of Bill's customers want either a Quest or a Non-Typical, and for good reason. I have several Quests and have ordered a Non-Typical. I have a number of bows built on Jim Brackenbury's original designs, including a couple Jim built for me. All the bows are great, but the Quest (that Bill Howland designed himself) is the best of the Brack recurves. I have heard from various sources that the Non-Typical may be the overall best bow Bill makes, which is why I have ordered one. I wish my name were on that list of bows in progress!!!

I want the Legend for one reason. I want a 68" take-down recurve and there aren't too many bowyers out there that offer a 68" take-down recurve with wooden riser and limbs. Bill Howland does with his Legend. I like my 66" Blacktail Elite VL T/D, but Norm Johnson doesn't offer the Elite VL T/D in a 68" length.   :(

Bob Lee can make a 68" recurve.  I have one with two sets of limbs - 35# and 50#.

I just sold my first custom bow, and it was a Bob Lee, I ever owned to put that money towards a new custom recurve. I want a Brackenbury, but my 66" Blacktail Elite VL hanging in the bow rack on my wall keeps whispering in my ear, she needs a twin sister.   ;)
