For all of you 3under shooters, just wondering.... What is the nock height you're using...??
For years I always set mine at 5/8"... Today I found an old string from when I was shooting split finger.
It had a single nock set that was 5/8" to the top of the nock set, so I nocked an arrow and crimped another one above the arrow nock. The new nock height is 7/8".
I took it out to shot it and it's like you put a muffler on the dang thing!!! :archer:
I only shoot WOOD arrows... My kid makes them, fast as I can break them!

7/8" sounds awful high!  I went with the recommended 1/2" and made sure to stealth tape the limb bases and use string silencers and a heavy arrow and have had several people mention how quiet the bow is.  That said, I haven't tried the higher nock position so I don't know if it would improve, but if it works for you it works!

Just got mine this last month and I love mine. B riser #3 limbs 50lbs at 28 inches. I have a bit of a collection of bows and I feel bad because this bow has made me just neglect everything else I have.

I usually shoot one piece bows, I have some ILF bows that I don't care too much for but this Bear T/D is something else. It feels like a super super kodiak, it weighs a bit more, and I could shoot it all day.

I had to add a bit of string wax to the limb pockets to fix a "creaking" since then its been dead silent. I can't stress how much I love this thing.

Just ordered a wood A riser for hunting as I prefer the wood riser for cold weather.
Have the newer mag riser in A and B and really enjoy shooting them  as well for target
etc and when its warmer weather hunting.

Here is my newest (to me) Bear Takedown. It's not a Bear Kodiak Takedown with the latches. It's a factory camo 1992 Bear Hunter TD with the bolt-on limbs. It's 54# and 60"amo. Shoots great.

I wouldn't get hung up on a number.   My bows are all set around 3/4 to 7/8".    All that matters is getting the best arrow flight possible.  Everyone has slightly different form, so the belief that x/x" nock height is the best for everyone is just flat out wrong.   What works for you is all you need to worry about.

My Dad's magnesium riser Bear TD was his pride and joy. I still have it, but worry about stressing it.....so this past weekend while at the Trad Expo in Kalamazoo I shot one from the Bear booth, and ordered one while sitting in MY booth selling Bighorn Legacy bows  :biglaugh:

I ordered the "Fred Bear Camo" version. I hav=d to get limbs from one spot and riser from another......strings from yet a 3rd supplier. I should have it strung up and humming later today!

Yep Bear Takedown is on my list to get, I like the B riser might go with #1 limbs, all my Longbows are 64" so don't about a shorter bow.
