Thinking about getting a poncho, has anyone hunted with the Asbell Poncho and can you shoot your bow while wearing it.

Did you end up getting g one? I'm considering buying one now.

I purchased one for my wife for Xmas. I did not shoot with it. I did try it on, flipped it over my left shoulder and could cleanly draw my bow, right hand. So yes, I'd say that you could easily shoot with the poncho, however, you'd want it already over your shoulder to avoid the motion of flipping it while on stand.

I did get one and I honestly didn't like it for a hunting setup, felt like I was really struggling to not get the bowstring caught up in it. If they made it in a lighter material, I think it would shine.

I'm still kicking the idea around of getting one. Just seems like it would work. I'll get a cheap poncho to try first. If I have to flip it over my shoulder that is a deal breaker. Too much movement for a ground hunter.

I have only used one sitting around in a cold camp, so I don't know.

I DO know that Fred really did use one.....he also used a military style rain poncho when hunting. He liked the way it kept his bow and gear dry. He could shoot just fine with it.
