I got back from a Alask the week before last and would like to share a few pictures. My father inlaw, brother inlaw, and myself took a bush plane into zone 2 for the caribou migration. We were early and missed the bulk of the migration, however we spotted a legal bull on our second to last day. He was 1.5 miles away so we decided to split up and stalk the animal from opposite sides of the mountain. We were successful in our attempt and enjoyed the best meal I've had in recent memory with the tenderloin that night. It was a great trip. The isolation of the Alaskan back country really makes you appreciate life and the people around you.

Wonderful!
Fifty years ago, I joined the Army. Got married to a wonderful lady and we moved to my duty assignment in the Army at Fort Richardson, near Anchorage.

I never regretted that decision. Thanks for the photos, it brought back so many good memories!

Glad you had such a great trip with your In-laws

Great pics and story. Gave me the feeling of "could've, would've, should've"! Too late for me to do that trip now, but I sure enjoyed you sharing yours!

Looks like a great trip! I made my first visit to Alaska a few months ago for the sockeye run and was immediately hooked! I will be back soon!
