What bow manufacturers put the coin style manufacturers medallion on their bows?  I inherited a TD recurve from my brother in law and the medallion is missing. I shot with him often but For the life of me I just can't remember who made the bow. He was a big Great Plains recurve fan and this bow resemblance a great plains TD recurve but to me the profile lines don't match up with what I have found  on line.

The obvious one is Bear, but I'm sure you've already thought of that.  Big Jim used to mount (maybe still does) buffalo head nickels on his bows.

Yeah, This bow is definitely Not a Bear manufactured bow and I'm fairly certain that this isn't a bow made by Big Jim. I guess I'll have to post some photos and see if anyone can identify it.

Can you post a photo of your bow so we have a better idea of who might of made it?

Tom Parsons used to put a coin sized inlay on some of his bows.  I have one that has an arrowhead with teepee inset with his initials on the riser.  Kim Sha bows

Here is a couple photos of the bow.

Thanks for the reply. I thought of that too as the profile lines are very similar but the coin size is different. The Martin Archery coin is much bigger than the one that is missing in my bow pictured, that is slightly smaller than a nickel.
