If any of you have shot both the Kanati and the Centaur, I am interested in hearing your thoughts on the overall shooting experience. Speed, smoothness of draw, hand shock ect. I am shooting a 62" Centaur but have never had the opportunity to shoot a Kanati. Thanks!

I have owned and shot both, and I like them both a lot. I now only own Centaur longbows because I want take down bows for travel. The Centaurs are very high performance bows that are easy to shoot well. And the custom features that you can get are impressive. The can be made to be very quiet, and there is not any hand shock at all. The Centaur is an impressive bow in every way.

When I owned and hunted with a Kanati I thought it was a ton of bow for the money. It is fast, can be made to be quiet, and there is no hand shock or any other unpleasantness. But, there are no custom features. If you get one and you like the grip and draw cycle, well then you have a terrific bow. I loved mine, but had to part with it as I moved down in draw weight due to a shoulder replacement.
