1716's aluminum or 35/40 cedars? Need low poundage hunters advice.

Getting ready to buy my daughter some hunting arrows for this season. I must admit I have been a little lax getting her proper arrows and she has been using mine.  Time to get serious!
I can't decide on 1716's or 35/40 cedars. She is pulling 38 pounds at 24 inches out of a Java Man Tanjavur recurve. I think we will stay with the Magnus 100 grain two blade that she killed her first deer with, but that was with a compound set at 28#@22. I guess it boils down to weight over speed. I like a heavy arrow out of my bows, but will too much arrow weight in a low draw bow be too slow for deer?

I'd suggest Gold Tip Falcons. They are 26" long and with a brass insert, increase the FOC.
"Neal...is this heaven?" "No Piute but we are dam close". Top of the Mtn in Medicine Bow Nat Forest.

I'd wanna stick with carbons - much more durable.  I'd look at Beman Bowhunter 500's (the renamed Ventures), 25" from nock groove to the insert.  I just made a couple up for yer daughter to test out and here's the numbers:

Beman 500
(25" from nock groove to back of insert, with 4" 4-fletch feathers)
* 364gr with 125gr point and alum insert, FOC = 15.81%
* 443gr with 125gr point and brass insert, FOC = 18.13%

PM or email me with yer address and I'll git 'em out to ya.   :)

Thank you very much! My daughter says thanks also.  :notworthy:

I didn't even think of trying carbon. I keep forgetting they make them in the lower spines.  :biglaugh:
