Anybody have an idea what kind of wood was used for the wedge.  it is not easy to tell, but the same wood was used on the belly side of the riser.  It looks like it could be Shedua or one of the Rosewoods (Honduran?).

Well, I have the answer for the material used for the wedge.  It is Bocote as is all of the wood in the riser.  The two outer pieces of Bocote in the riser are dark while the center piece is lighter in color.  I don't know if Mr. Dye stained, err, I guess that could be dyed, pun intended, the darker pieces or if they are natural colors.
