What kind of broadhead do you use for hunting deer?

swampbuck

I didn't see the answer I was looking for LOL

SHARP in whatever # of blades or even stone for that matter it really doesn,t matter on most heads these days
Shoot straight and have FUN!!

Bowhunter4life

It's what broadhead do YOU use Tom, not which is best...

I've used 3-blades for years, Woodsman, Snuffer, Razorcap, and G5 Montec.  This year I'm using 4-blades, Zwickey Delta, or Magnus Stinger.

From a stand I use my own 3 blade BH that I made from bar stock.
1.25 cuttig dia .05thk blades with .06Rad on each side where it meets the center out of 440 SS screw in.They came out @ 249.7grs    :D

From the ground what ever at the moment currently I've been using the Magnus 2 1.5" wide head I can get them face shaving sharp

Sorry I should figured that but the best BH out there isn't worth a hoot if it ain't sharp...way to many good heads to say which one...besides my own ofcourse    :biglaugh:

Swampbuck, that sounds like a pretty interesting head.  Any chance you could post a picture?  Please!

I've used Bear Razorhead's and Pearson Deadheads and Zwickey Eskimo's for years.  Last year I bought Snuffers but didn't get a deer using them.  I'll try again this year.

I use 3-blade snuffers for everything. But I'm using the 2-blade Eclipse for my elk hunt. To many elk hunters recommended a 2-blade for elk on this page.

I've had great results from the Ace Express 165.  Been shooting them for 3 or 4 years now.  Good weight, width and length and an easily sharpened straight edge.  Very durable head that gets sharp and stays sharp.
