I haven't had much of a problem with removing them from my Bemans.  I take all the feathers off and then start peeling the wrap off.  I have noticed that the wrap does break some but if I go slow enough they don't leave much residue.

I use isopropyl alcohol to clean the shaft after I get it off.

Are you having problems with residue left over after you remove the wrap or just getting off period?

Friend of mine builds & sells arrows, he uses something called "Beyond Bond". He said the wrap will bubble up and peel right off (w/o damaging arrow). I'm not sure who makes it and I haven't tried it myself.

I take mine off with a cigarette lighter, makes the wrap as soft as butter.Easy to do,I found it easier then geting out a pot and heating up water to dip them in.

I use a hair dryer, it works great.  Plus the TP holder in the bathroom makes a fine holder for the hair dryer and there is always a seat near by.

I use hot water with no problems.  Only the reflective wraps give me trouble with residue.  To clean it off, I just rub it with a clean cloth or my thumb and it balls up and comes off.

The hair dryer is a good idea and probably works better than hot water.  Hadn't thought of that.

There are products out there like Goo Gone that are good at removing adhesives. If it can take off bumper stickers, it should work on wraps. Just don't let it dry, it works best when the adhesive turns gooey.
You can find it in most retail stores stocked with the household cleaning supplies.

Hair dryer, go to Onestringer site for information too.

I forgot to mention Goo Gone.  I don't use regular goo gone.  If I use anything I use goo gone extreme.  But be careful it will take the labels off your carbon arrows and I probably would not use it on wood arrows.  Normally I don't use anything to clean off afer I remove a wrap unless I am removing Flo material.  The flo is a different adhesive I always use goo gone extreme on those.  On reflective, that was a pain until I tried using the hair dryer and an ice scraper,  yes I said ice scraper the plastic kind and it will just come off in strips and again I use goo gone extreme.  I don't care for the labels on my arrows so I remove them before I fletch.

I never have liked the labels, will have to try some of the goo gone. Thanks for the tip.

The thing is you have to clean the shaft after feathers and wraps are removed in order to properly reinstall and fletch the arrow. In our shop only lacquer thinner is used for cleaning and we've been doing that way for over fifty years. Isopropyl alcohol is not good as it leaves a residue on the shaft. If you use alcohol, use only denatured alcohol. Don't touch the portion of the shaft to be refletched or rewrapped with you fingers or the oil from your skin can have a negative effect on adhesion. This works well on the literally thousands and thousands of arrows we fletch and wrap per year. (nut)
