Does anyone know a good fast set glue for gluing feathers to carbon?

Bohning fletch tape was the best thing I've ever taken a chance on based on friend's advice. Never thought about glue again. Reduces fletching time with an instant bond. Been on the mountain elk hunting for weeks in wet weather and no failure, and it is easy to strip feathers off for refletching without damaging cresting, wrap, etc.

Excellent product.

Look through the old threads about using the tape. Some very useful info that would help a first timer.

Not sure about the climate, but the tape didn't fair to well with me in in GA with the heat and humidity.  Maybe the tape has been improved.  I know a lot of people swear by it.

I also found that the tape attracted dirt, grim and grit.  But hey, I'm ruff on stuff.

I use fletch tape reinforced by Bohning fletch-tite.  So far the tape makes fletchign quick and easy and the fletch-tite adds protection in the wet jungles here in Hawaii that I haven't had a problem with.  I even stripped one bad fletching off a cresting without damaging the cresting using a loose / hand-held hobby knife razor blade with no problem.

My experience as well.  In high heat and humidty the tape doesn't hold up.

I've had really good luck with the CA glue and activator you can get on amazon. It's a super glue with an aerosol activator that sets in about 5 seconds. I can fletch arrows about as fast as I can operate the jig. I would note that the CA glue needs a clean, smooth surface. If you have any old glue, residue, dust, gaps in the glue on the quill, etc it will not be as reliable. That said, when I do it right, and put a dab on the leading edge of the feather, it works incredibly.

Strongly recommend you do it outside somewhere though, fumes are rough,

This is the last one I bought but they're honestly most all the same. https://www.amazon.com/Ca-Glue-activator-Woodworking-0-9/dp/B08RY4PCDK/ref=sr_1_17_sspa?crid=3CFIIGGPZHS7&keywords=quick+cure+ca+glue&qid=1688208972&sprefix=quick+cure+ca+glu%2Caps%2C314&sr=8-17-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9tdGY&psc=1

Like Terry I have used Super Glue (Gorrilla Blue).  But last few years used Goat Tuff, with great results with inserts and feathers.
Warning, Goat Tuff is great, but you better be ready, because it sets Super, Super quick.
