What have you done to help make your bow more quiet?
John

ncsturkey

Cat whiskers, 14 strand 8125 endless loop with light weight serving,  Sims at the fades.

I found some older C+ limbs. The newer faster carbon limbs are alittle harder to quiet and for me had a ring to them.I really like the c+ limbs.

John,

The silenced strings from 3R or Dave are good, along with short stabalizer and Sims at the fades.

I put a Primetimestrings.com padded loop endless 8125 and the silencers for the limb grooves with cat whiskers and limbsavers 3" from the riser,it was quiet.

600 grain arrow out of a 63 lb bow. Added a doinker stabilizer and limbsaver on the limbs.

I didn't care for the string that came with mine, but found your basic rubber cat whisker type silencer to be effective as well as a mountain muffler string.  I believe mine to be the quietest recurve in existence....

I no longer own a DAS but when I was shooting mine the Mountain Muffler string was the ticket.
Limbsavers at the fadeouts will help as well.

I've shot a bunch of different types of limbs on various risers and they all behave differently. I found that the Tradtech ExtremeBF limbs were a lot quieter than any other limb I have ever shot. Other limbs (W&W Focus, Winex, Samick Agulla, Sky Conquest) could be made to be as quiet with a variety of trick but those BF limbs just seem to be inherently quiet. Don't ask me why but they are.

I've had a few bows that seemed to really quiet down noticably (mostly Quinns) using an 8 strand 450+ string. Again, I don't know why but it was very noticable.
Lately I've just gone to making my strings with D97 (since I have a lot of it). I make them 12 strand and pad them with an 6 strands (10") of D97 or Dacron. They are pretty quiet as well.

You'll get that DAS whisper quiet with a little experimentation.

Nothing I don't do to all my recurve bows; bow hush, whiskers or hush pupppies, limbsavers, small stabilizer for balance. Can you say thunk!

Like mentioned different limb designs will inheritanly be quieter than others and brace height can make a difference on different limbs.
shoot straight shoot often

The Extreme BF limbs are very quiet.
