Picked up my new boat on Thur, Joe and I went out saw a few carp but couldn't hit any. Joe wanted to go to the school dance tonight so I went out alone, I ended up boating two and had four pull off, one was a huge slob that bent my point and straitened one of the barbs out. This bow fishing is a blast

What model and make of boat did you get? I've been looking around Nebraska for a new boat, or a new to me boat. I've been asking for input from various people. On one hand I would like to get a 14ft wide bottom jon boat because you can muscle them around if you need to. This fall I will be elk hunting back home in Montana and will have to take a 15-20 minute boat trip each way. After that I may not need that size of boat again. The other boat I'm considering is a 16 ft wide bottom, modified V with the steering console and controls. Just thought I'd get your 2cents if you have the time. Great job and I'm sure there will be more carp in your future.

Thanks

Jim, that sure is a WHOPPER!!  Good shooting buddy! I'll bet Joe was second guessing himself on the dance after hearing about all the action.

Jim, That sounds like a blast ! I have a canoe and boat like yours.I bought all of the gear needed to bow fish but Black Creek by me is so muddy you can't see the carp until your a couple feet from them and then they spook. If ya don't mind sharing your spot let me know and I will come down sometime.

My boat is a 14 foot Crestliner 1448 modified jon boat it has a 15 hours four stroke mercury. I do have plans on a trolling motor and a 1000 watt generator for a couple lights so we can go out at night. Joe hit four fish and had them on but they were all hogs and they pulled off, he is not pulling enough poundage to get a pass through, none the less he made some super shots and had a blast. I shot 10 more fish today one of them was almost 26 pounds, I passed up a ton of shots trying to get Joe a fish we kept seeing this real big one but I wanted Joe to get it and not me, he would of liked showing the old man up, maybe tomorrow.
