Can anyone recommend a fleece jacket that wont let the wind blow through.  My wool jacket has to loose of a weave and the wind cut right through to me.

I use Cabela's Polartec 3 , but it is not windproof, just slows it down a lot. I also have some Polartec jackets with WindBloc, or some such. They do OK, but they don't stop wind completely.

I use a lot of layers when it is cold, and that does the best. For a windproof solution, try a low-cost windbreaker under your wool coat. Over top of it if you don't care about noise.

Day One Camo. I have their fleece pullover, and love it.

I second Killdeer's solution...

Here in Kansas, where we use log chain for a wind gauge, a cheap, pullover wind shirt underneath the wool helps a lot...check the discount golf stores for closeouts....

Cabela's 'windshear' comes with a variety of fabrics including wool and fleece. I have it with fleece, and it is extremely good.

I have found that there is a big difference with different windblock fleece as too Noise!  I think the Malden Mills stuff is the quietest.  I don't need it in camo as I wear it under wool or other camo.  Try it in store before you buy.  Most good outdoor stores like EMS or REI or Cabelas will have a variety of brands...Doc
